Background on flockWoodston Berrichons were formed in 1998. Our flock aim is to produce a commercial tups which suit supermarket demands and females which are lowinput with good maternal traits, including milkiness, but not compromising on shape. To do this we have imported semen from France from some of the best rams for confirmation and milkiness. To keep fresh bloodlines in the country we have also import Deerpark Paddy from Mrs. Ruth Kelso, Bunclody, Eire. Woodston was the first flock to export Berrichons to Germany, rams in 2006 and ewe lambs in 2007 & 2008. Since 2005 we have weight recorded our lambs for our own use and now only breed from the ones with the best figures. Best of the Berrichons Sale21st November 2009 Woodston Flock will have a consignment in the 'Best of the Berrichons' in lamb sale at Worcester. www.berrichon.co.uk for details.
